Hi Norm,

Thanks for reporting it. Could you please create a ticket at http://www.webyog.com/support ? We can have a threaded conversation there and nail down the problem quickly.

In SqlYog (ent) 8.03 and 8.05, I noticed a severe problem with recovering from old connections. I didn't see any fix to this in the 8.1 release notes but I'll try it anyway. The problem was that after you connected to a database and you didn't use the SqlYog client for an hour or more, when you tried to access an object via the left panel tree, SqlYog (on XP) would freeze up. In some cases it would recover minutes later. In other cases, I needed to kill the process. There was nothing wrong with the target database server because if I opened another instance of SqlYog, it would immediately connect and allow me to navigate. I tested this many times. Should I submit it as a bug or has it been resolved?

I sure wish you could release a version for the Mac. I used SQLYog via CrossOver on my Mac. It's a bit kludgy, but SQLYog is STILL the best MySQL GUI on the Mac.
