I'd like to get some opinions of people that have bought this and used it.

I am an experienced developer with sharp DBA skills. I know how to set indexes to improve searches, look at my queries and optimize them over time, never use SELECT *, etc.

So for someone like me what kind of improvement could I expect out of a tool like this ? I get the feeling it is going to tell me most of what I already know and I will have wasted $200 !

You are welcome to ask for this of course and everybody else to comment on it as they like.

But I recommend that you evaluate version 2.5 when 1st beta is out in a few days.
Major new feauture is log analysis .. and you won't even need to have server logs enabled to use it. More info soon!
