MySQL 5.07 on Fedora

Trying to get SQLyog running on Vista, it connects fine to local development server but it only shows a DB called "information_schema" and another called "test". If I connect (using SQLyog) from my XP machine I can see the 20-30 databases I know are there. (I should mention I copied the .ini file from the XP machine to the Vista machine so the settings are exactly the same)

Using webmin I've checked MYSQL user permissions, host permissions and DB permissions for Vista user but still no sign of the missing databases. No errors, its like I'm looking into a different connnection.

Any idea what I'm missing here?

For future reference the problem was in the configuration of MYSQL user permissions. I confused the Unix username with the MySQL username.
