Hi,

I am using sja for replicating a tables in two different databases.... and have told xml file to make two way replication for certain columns .. And when i modify a non-specified column (column which is not specified in xml file) in the target database every thing was working as expected,it doesnt make any unnecessary changes in source database .. But when make changes for some specified columns in source database it overwrite the value for the non specified column in target db.. I couldnt figure out how this happend :( .... It is not supposed to modify the non-specified columns isn't it?

Thanks...

You do not understand what the <columns> specification is for.

Please refer to:
http://webyog.com/en...L_Databases.pdf

SQLyog/SJA data sync will always sync complete rows.  The <columns> specification is used to specify which columns are used for generating checksums.  For instance if you have a unique column (more than the PK) you can specify that column alone and achieve a major performace improvement.  Also avoiding BLOB columns for the checksum generation can speed up things a lot!

Thank you very much for giving clarification..... Is there a way to exclude one particular column from a table , being sync ?
